We woke up with Mike opening his "bamboo fun". This new software will make creating art fun and easy- I hope hase (mike) likes it. We had some strong expresso and biscuits....and then off to the Sharp Park Coastal Cleanup- Mike, Michelle, Emmet and myself picked up metal, plastic, and a lot of cigarette butts!
We ran into the Dunhill's and the Schneider's just walking along the sea wall...what a pleasant surprise...it was then that I realized many people never received my emails about Mike's party... in the end it was truly okay
My husband of 8 years, and boyfriend of 7...he turned 43 yesterday and the email I sent obviously did not get to all the people who were invited, but Mike had a great, mellow celebration, "I totally wanted mellow" - Mike
Phil and Stephie showed up and it was soooo nice to see them. They made the celebration very special. I enjoyed Phil's comments about the dragon cake. "It kind of reminded me of an eel that was found on the ocean"; well, what can I say? Michelle loves dragons and wanted Mike to specifically have a three-headed dragon cake for his birthday. It was done! Mike recieved a plush, soft, Columbia fleece that he has been wearing non-stop; this is his new "regular" shirt
Mike's regular shirt is what he wears when he is at home cooking, wanting to feel comfortable and a great item when he needs to dash to the store...I really feel there is a combination of Mike feeling comfortable and his meals tasting totally delicious - so thank you P & S!
In the evening, Jonathan and Maria came over with many gifts and lots of great celebratory stories of memories...
Maria and Jonathan will probably be in Oregon/Portland by October 31...we will all miss them, but I am very happy for them, I just hope we see them often once they move.
